Golf Shop Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to help fill out our team for the 2025 season and beyond. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Assistant will be a key player in providing our guests with a welcoming, friendly, personable, and professional experience. The successful candidate will also display excellent communication skills and an ability to handle the demands of an active facility. They will also have a passion for golf, which will be demonstrated through their day-to-day interactions with guests and staff. 

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day Golf Shop Operations

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of an exceptional resort atmosphere through positivity and professionalism

  • Work with the Golf Operations team (Golf Shop, Golfer Services, and Player Ambassadors)  to deliver expert customer service and retail experience

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of club events, corporate events and leagues

  • Work with the Head Professional and the rest of the Golf Shop Staff to develop and implement programs throughout the resort

  • Engaging members and guests during the check-in process as they register for the day

  • Uphold the rules and regulations of the Resort and the golf course in a consistent manner

Qualifications 

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with members, guests, and staff alike

  • Passion for creating and working within a small team to provide members and resort guests with experiences and interactions that go above and beyond daily

  • Interest in developing and learning retail sales and merchandising 

  • An understanding of various social media platforms, and the technical skills to help promote Golf Shop programs and events  

  • Ability to learn new technology and software programs 

  • Time management, organization, and the ability to schedule yourself and other employees is critical

  • Desire to learn, lead and grow as an individual and employee of Elk Ridge Resort

Compensation

  • Full-time, Part-time, & Seasonal positions available. (with potential for extended off season employment)

  • $16.00-$19.00 per hour depending on qualifications
