Fredrich is the dining heart of Elk Ridge Resort, located in the Lodge with views of the boreal forest just beyond the windows. Two venues share the Fredrich name: a casual café for mornings on the go, and an inspired kitchen for unhurried dinners and cocktails by the fire. Both serve locally rooted cuisine in a setting that feels at once elevated and at home. Whether you're staying with us or just visiting for the day, Fredrich is open to all.

Into the afternoon and evening, Fredrich Inspired Kitchen + Cocktails is a cozy setting for indulging in your favourites or trying something new. Socialize with stunning views of the boreal forest and watch the evening melt into nighttime with a drink in hand and a fire at your feet.

Questions about your Visit?

  • Always. Both Fredrich Café and Fredrich Inspired Kitchen + Cocktails are open to guests who are not staying at the resort.

    Whether you’re popping in after your beach day in Waskesiu, or riding up on your snowmobile for lunch, everyone is welcome.

    Reservations are recommended for evening dining, especially on weekends and in peak season.

  • You’ll find us inside the main Elk Ridge Lodge, on the resort grounds about 8 minutes from the Waskesiu townsite and Prince Albert National Park.

  • No need. Fredrich Café welcomes all walk-ins.

  • No dress code required. Most guests come as they are, whether that's after a round of golf, a hike in the park, or a day on the lake.

  • The Wine Room seats up to 24 and is the right fit for many private gatherings. For larger events, the resort's banquet team can help. Call 306.663.4653, Option 6.

  • Absolutely. Both Fredrich restaurants have a kids’ menu, so we’re ready to serve the whole family.

The Wine Room

Tucked into the Lodge with windows that open onto the boreal forest, the Wine Room is a semi-private space for milestone celebrations, business meetings, and family gatherings. It seats up to 24 people and offers a quieter, more intimate experience than the main dining room.

To book the Wine Room, call 306.663.4653, Option 6, at least one week in advance. Reservations are available for groups of 12 to 24, with a 2.5-hour seating time.
